mobiles

    ALEXANDER CALDER

  I always loved mobiles.
Always astonishes  me the accuracy of their structure for the final result, the balance.
Smaller or bigger pendulous shapes or figures that, even if they don't attract you by their shape or color, will "catch" you with their motion.
Abstract, modern moving sculptures, Calder's mobiles, are the epitome of the mobiles.
Alexander, "Sandy", Calder was, mainly, sculptor. His sculptures, from miniatures to impressively big, fortunately, are included in those that
they are installed in several cities, at open spaces, and give us the opportunity to have the art part of our daily routine.
But, that which characterized Calder was his unique point of view in mobile sculpture which, so far, is an unsurpassed school.
